Okay, I can’t remember the last time I was this thrilled over a new restaurant in this city. We went for dinner on a Thursday night, were seated in a very cozy space immediately, and the service was very friendly. The owner, Ali, came around and introduced himself, chatted a bit, and was very friendly. We got the platter for two plus the mantu (meat stuffed dumplings) and y’all, words cannot describe how incredible this food was. The meat was packed with flavor and so tender, the rice was a generous portion and cooked perfectly, and the naan was delicious. I think I cried a little. We ate until we couldn’t take another bite, and had more than enough left over to make a few lunches out of. Seating note: we sat in the traditional lounge booths with a low table, but there are plenty of chair and table dining options as well. We can’t wait to go back and bring friends! Can’t recommend this place highly enough!

10/10 would recommend. The owner is very friendly and has great hospitality. Don't be afraid to try anything. But most people try the bolani and mantu and love them. Honestly don't have any bad to say but definitely come out with friends and family you won't regret it.

The menu is not super extensive but the food was good. The server recommended 1 skewer of chicken Tikka and 1 skewer of chicken Koobideh. It came with rice, salad and bread (naan?). It came with a side of dipping sauce that reminded me of mint chutney but with jalapenos. It was very good. I'm not well versed in Afgan food but it seems pretty close to Indian food. I almost didn't go in because the place is currently very confusing. It's in the old Curry Leaf building with little to no signage. In fact, most of Curry Leafs signage is still up. They need to work on that ASAP!!! It didn't look open at all but they were a couple cars in the lot so I decided to give it a go. Apparently they will be sharing the space with a new Indian restaurant (Rasa?).

The food was absolutely fantastic! We got the Chicken Biryani and naan. They also brought us a wonderful salad with a sweet dressing I really enjoyed, a little bowl of chicken noodle soup, and a sample of a lamb and rice dish the I definitely need to come back and order a full meal of. The flavors were completely new to me and it was a great experience. Definitely will be back!
